Train your Brain

There are many ways you can learn how to improve brain power. You can incorporate these brain-strengthening techniques to your daily routine to keep your brain in top shape. One of the best ways to strengthen your brain is to exercise. Exercise can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, other diseases and can improve your memory. Exercise brings more oxygen to your system and brain and cleans everything out of you brain.

Getting rid of stress and controlling your emotions is another way to improve your brainpower. The more you can control your emotions the better you can react in situations which in turn lowers your stress and lower stress gives you the ability to think properly. If you are under a lot of stress for a long period of time you can damage your brain, it’s called a break down and it affects your whole body. A great way to keep stress down is to keep a journal and write out your frustrations.

You also need to keep your brain active and learning.

You can learn a new instrument, read a book on a new subject, go do something different then usual or take up a new hobby. You want to keep your brain and mind challenged and this means that you need to be challenged. If you are artistic then you may want to do something completely opposite like looking into science or sports. You are then using all parts of your brain.

There are also foods that you can eat to increase your brainpower. Omeg-3 fatty acids, ginkgo biloba, sage oil, and even chocolate can help the brain. Chocolate stimulates the brain and the other supplements help you concentration, protect your neurotransmitters and can improve your clarity. You should also play games to keep your brain working, scrabble, crossword puzzles and sodoku are all recommended.

Do you sometimes find that your process of memorizing things is inefficient? Maybe you have good memorization skills, but you memorize the wrong things and get off track. I believe that all people can improve their memory and create new neural pathways and so did the woman who memorised the Bible books at age 82. Follow these tips on how to memorize efficiently.

Get Rid

Firstly you need to look at the list of things that you are going to memorize. Which of those things are truly unessential and do not need to be there. You may want to put them in order of importance and just cut out the bottom 10%. You save alot of potential time by doing this.

Memory Tricks

When you were in school, it is likely that you were taught that repetition was the best way to learn something. Maybe you were taught no memorization skills at all and were told that you “just have to learn it”. I prefer to take the more efficient, time-safe way. Use tricks such as mnemonics and the link method to memorise things easier

The Link Method - This is when you have a list of things in order to memorize. You Link each item to them next in a story. The thing is, you have to make the story totally wacky, crazy and unbelievable so that it will stick in your mind. For example, if you want to pick up eggs, milk and cheese from the convenience store, picture those three interacting in someway inside the store. There could be a cow in there shooting eggs out of its udders towards a frightened shop keeper who is building a fortress to protect himself out of cheese. This can be a fun experience as well as a terrible time efficient one.

Hold On! Did you know that 81% of people are not using their memory to their full strength? A lot of them not even half.Train your brain to work efficiently.
